IBS & gut health support - Bath & online UK

IBS & Gut Health Dietitian

IBS is not something you just have to put up with. Bloating, unpredictable bowels and abdominal pain can take over daily life, but there is so much that can be done when you know where to start. Beth Harvey, HCPC Registered Dietitian, will guide you through it.

Why a fertility practice for your gut?

It started with the gut

Gastroenterology is my core speciality, and it was through that work that I first saw how closely gut health is connected to women's health conditions. That experience is what led me to start 30 Something Fertility.

Gut health sits at the centre of every programme I run, and my IBS support is open to both men and women. The gut is a complex system that is often overlooked, and while medical and surgical factors have their part to play, diet and lifestyle matter enormously too. IBS is not something you simply have to put up with - there is a great deal that can be done when you know where to start, and I would be glad to guide you through it.

What we work on together

How an IBS Dietitian helps

Understanding your symptoms

Make sense of what is driving your bloating, pain or bowel changes, and which patterns and triggers are worth paying attention to.

Evidence-based dietary strategy

First-line diet and lifestyle changes, moving to structured approaches such as low FODMAP only if they are needed, always with a clear reintroduction plan.

Supporting your microbiome

Fibre, food diversity and gut-friendly habits that nourish the trillions of microbes your digestion depends on, rather than restricting them.

The gut-brain connection

Stress and the nervous system have a direct line to your gut. Practical regulation tools are a core part of calming symptoms, not an add-on.

Sleep, routine and lifestyle

Meal timing, sleep, movement and daily rhythm all shape digestion. We build habits that fit your real life.

Supplements without the guesswork

An honest, evidence-led look at probiotics, fibre supplements and other gut products, so you know what is worth your money.

Your 12-week gut health journey

Six 1:1 consultations, roughly every two weeks, with weekly messaging check-ins in between. Delivered in person at The Bath Clinic or Sulis Hospital Bath, or online across the UK.

Common questions

IBS and gut health, answered

Why see a fertility-branded practice for gut health?

Gastroenterology is Beth's core speciality. Her work in gastroenterology revealed how closely the gut is linked to women's health conditions, which is what led to 30 Something Fertility. Gut health sits at the centre of every programme, and IBS support is open to everyone.

Do you see men with IBS?

Yes. The IBS and gut health programme is open to men and women, in clinic in Bath or online across the UK.

Can a Dietitian help with IBS?

Yes. NICE and the British Society of Gastroenterology recommend Registered Dietitians for the dietary management of IBS. Support starts with first-line diet and lifestyle advice and moves to more specialist approaches only if needed.

Is low FODMAP right for me?

Not always. Low FODMAP is a short-term elimination and reintroduction approach that helps some people with IBS but not all. It should be guided by a Dietitian so your diet stays nutritionally adequate and protects your microbiome.

Do I need a diagnosis first?

It helps to have seen your GP to rule out other causes of your symptoms, especially if you have red flags such as unexplained weight loss, bleeding or a family history of bowel disease. If you are unsure, Beth can advise when you apply.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. Consultations are available online across the UK, or face-to-face at The Bath Clinic (Circle Health Group) and Sulis Hospital Bath.

Ready to take back control of your gut?

Apply for a consultation and share a little about your symptoms. Beth will personally review your application and be in touch to arrange your initial assessment.
